Cutting-edge research for a more inclusive region
GDLab, the IDB's Gender and Diversity Knowledge Initiative, promotes, leads, and finances high-impact research aimed at a more inclusive and equitable society in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. By producing and disseminating new evidence, GDLab aims to inform policy design in the region and the IDB’s development operations on the ground.
GDLab focuses on existing inequalities between men and women and on the inequalities faced by indigenous peoples, African descendant persons, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ persons. GDLab also acts as a catalyzer of creative solutions to promote cross-sector collaboration on crucial issues like job creation, migration, human capital development, digital inclusion, preventing gender-based violence, and promoting sustainable development.
