The high risk of violence faced by women from diverse populations

Indigenous women, African descendant women, LBT women, and women with disabilities are at high risk of experiencing harassment and violence in the region. However, this risk is not truly visible due to lack of access to legal and victim support services. The inclusion of questions on this issue in surveys requires the use of larger samples to obtain precise estimates of the prevalence of violence in diverse populations.
